This rarely uncommon shrimp comes in a mitxure of red, brown, green, yellow and even zebra stripes. Originated from the wild, they are known to be easy keep, as they can be kept in wide range of parameters

This shrimp is a very hardy shrimp and very easy to keep. They do not breed in normal freshwater and require very complicated process if you want to breed them.


Our minimum purchase on this zebra shrimp is 5pcs, this is for the best for them.

Compatibility

can be keep together with any other shrimps (if the water values match). They do not cross breed with any other Neocaridina nor Caridina species. However they are known to be predators so they can attack new born shrimp.

Grading:

Some will show Orange Eyes, some are normal black eyes. This is totally random

Food:

Omnivorous, feeds on algae, biofilm and commercial shrimp foods. Please avoid feeding your shrimp with any foods that contains copper.

At Shrimp Corner, we feed our shrimp once a day, with our Forest Green and Wild Red protein foods. One bar of each type a day, on an alternative basis. Our foods are specially made for shrimp and they do not contains anything harmful for your shrimp.

Feed once a day, 1 stick per 15-20 shrimp. Please remove any left-over food after 24hrs.

At Shrimp Corner we have experiences of selling and posting live shrimp over 14 years. We are not amateur or being cheap when it comes to packing your order.  Therefore you can rest assure that your shrimp will be well looked after until their final destination.

In order to ensure their safe journey from our shrimp room to your home, we always pack our shrimp as followed:

  1. Our packing policy is maximum 12 shrimp per bag, if you order 15+ shrimp, you will see that we always separated them to pack and post
  2. We use breathing bag where oxygen change occurs and please DO NOT float the bag in your tank, as this will suffocate the shrimp.
  3. Shrimp bags will be well insulated, padded inside a styrofoam box
  4. A heat pack will be added if the weather is under 8 degree overnight
  5. There will be a cardboard box outside of styrofoam box for added protection
  6. Parcel will be labeled with URGENT stickers, and LIVE FISH FRY sticker to let the Postman know he/she is delivering Live Stock.
  7. With each SHRIMP ORDER, there will be a free gift for you as a thank you from us. Gifts can be different from time to time and is attached to our leaflet inside the box
  8. A leaflet with our instructions for you to read, this includes Drip Acclimating Guide as well. Please make sure you read this first prior opening the bag.

At Shrimp Corner, we feed our shrimp once a day, with our Forest Green and Wild Red protein foods. One stick of each type a day, on an alternative basis.


Our foods are specially made for shrimp, and they do not contain anything harmful for your shrimp.

 

Feed once or twice a day depending on the size of the colony -  1 stick per 15-20 shrimp.

Please remove any left-over food after 24hrs. Or skip the next feeding if there was any left over foods.

If you are going away on holiday or a short break, you can use our Super Bio Bag as a constant food source for your shrimp. You will not have to worry about feeding them when you are away.

 

Using Indian Almond Leaves and Banana Leaves are also recommended. They added benefits to the tank and providing a constant food source for your shrimp, also with for other purposes

You can arrange your shrimp to arrive on a specific date (Tuesday to Friday). Or you can place your order to reserve the stock & prices and we will hold off posting until you are ready to receive them.

SATURDAY GUARANTEE DELIVERY -  from £20 per order
For customers who would want their parcel to arrive spots on Saturday rather than relying on normal Special Delivery Service. This is the charge base on Royal Mail's tariff of April 2025 plus our packaging costs.

DELIVERY TO DROP OFF/ PICK UP POINT
If you weren't able to stay in to wait for your parcel delivery. You can always message us to arrange us to deliver your parcel to one of the DPD drop off points, normally is your local Post Office or Off- License. Please note: This has to be arranged in advance.

We DO NOT offer any Live On Arrivial Guarantee when shipping outside of UK Mainland regions. This means parcels to Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands and European countries are not being covered. Please only proceed to purchase if you've agreed to this.

This will vary depending on the product, and weather sensitive species. For example with Sulawesi shrimp species, we don't stock or ship them out during cold months of our British's Winter. Because shipping them during this time of the year is a huge risks as they cannot handle the cold very well.

Yes you can, provided the order has not been shipped - please contact us using the Live Chat or WhatsApp us at 07879991198 - during opening times of 08:00 - 20:00 (GMT) Monday - Saturday and quoting your order reference. We will do our utmost to accommodate any reasonable requests or changes to your order.

You may cancel any order before it has been shipped. However, once the order has been shipped, you would need to return the order back to us first, before we can issue any refunds. Bear in minds, we do not accept returns on live stocks, unless it is our fault.

We state shipping sizes on every product's page, under Size for Sale section, please make sure you pay attention to the listing that you are buying.

For Neocaridina Cherry Shrimp Species: shipping size is from 1.4 to 1.8cm in size. In some species, the size can be up to 2cm but not bigger. Amano shrimp can be up to 3cm is maximum.

Provided stock level is sufficient, every group of 10, we always picked 2-3 males and the rest will be females. If you are buying less than 10 species of each colour,  we will just randomly scoop from our tanks. This is 99% will be all females.

We DO NOT sell just males only, we would like to reserve the males for our customers whom buying groups of shrimps from us.

For Caridina Shrimp Species: shipping size is from 0.9 to 1.4cm maximum.  Common size that we send out with orders is 1cm. Therefore please don't expect them to be big shrimp. And because of this size, we cannot tell sexes at all on caridina species. And the shrimp will do much better in adapting to your aquarium and  would do much better.

From time to time, we will add on some breeding groups etc and they will be stated with how many males & females and the price accordingly and this is base on WYSIWYG basis.

We've priced our shrimp according to their shipping sizes. If you would like adults and sex-able shrimp, please be expecting to pay 2.5 times more for each shrimp. We would like to set this straight, and in public writing for everyone can see, rather than you messaging us. 

 

We offer a range of payment options when making purchases via our website. These include major credit cards, debit cards, American Express, Paypal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. All transactions are handled by Stripe for added security.

Alternatively you can also make payment via Bank Transfer to our Shrimp Corner's business account. 

PayPal Pay in 3 is available with Paypal. It is there own's financial service for customers who have been using Paypal for a while. You can read more HERE

Unfortunately we don't have this kind of facility. All our orders have be placed online and card payments are handled by Stripe themselves. 

We can send you a payment link or an invoice from Stripe so you can make payment if you wish.

Delivery charges vary depending on the method of shipping that you choose. Please bear in mind that delivery charges are including the actual shipping cost + packaging costs as well.

All sensitive data is fully secured using SSL encryption. Your bank information is passed straight on to our payment gateway (Stripe) and is not stored by us at any time.

Our computer systems and website comply with national and international legislation regarding data protection and user privacy. You can rest assured that your details won't ever be sold or supplied by us to any other companies. Your order will be shipped using Royal Mail for most of the items. For bulky items we sometimes use UPS and DPD to carry out the delivery.

For Live Shrimp orders, we always comply with Royal Mail's requirement when shipping live stock. All parcels will be marked as Live Fish Fry and securely packed to ensure the safe journey to your door.

For bulky, heavy items like substrate, we use DPD, DHL or UPS to deliver your parcel.

Normally the night before, or in the morning of your order. We will mark your order status as Processing In Progress, this to let you know that your order is being handled, picked and packed and will be dispatch shortly. On the dispatch date, we will mark your order the Order Status with SHIPPED to let you know we've dispatched your parcel.

Tracking Number can be found by going to My Account - Order History, and next to your Order, you will see the Tracking Number

This number will NOT be valid until 7 or 8pm on the dispatch date, therefore please don't check it too early, as nothing would be updated by Royal Mail.

It is best if you leave us with your mobile number at Checkout, this enables us to update on Royal Mail's booking system so they can send you a text in the evening of the dispatch date, to let you know that there is a parcel coming your way.

We will also send you an email to let you know that we have shipped your parcel.

Yes of course. Simply leave us a note at the Comment section during checkout to let us know when you would like to received your order (Tuesday to Friday delivery date). For Saturday delivery you will need to choose Saturday Guarantee option at checkout.

Please make sure you choose Special Delivery if you want your order to arrive on an exact date.

The cos is higher than normal Special Delivery, but that is what Royal Mail is charging + our packaging costs.

Sorry we don't offer personal visit or in person collection at all. This is due to Licensing restrictions and also Public Liability etc, therefore we have decided to operate as an online store only, for now. 

If you are local in Manchester area, you can choose Tracked 24 option for delivery and let us know in the Comment section if you want to received your shrimp in the SAME DAY or at CHOSEN DAY. We will delivery your order in person on that date. This minimise the transit time as we would be catching your shrimp only 30minutes before we would be making the delivery journey

Yes we do, please proceed to Checkout as normal and we will take of all the paperworks for dispatch. 

Please note: shipping time would be longer comparing to the Estimated Delivery time showing at the time of your order, because sending outside of the UK. And because of this, we do NOT offer any DOA cover on parcels shipping outside of the UK.

Depending on your chosen shipping methods, UK orders are typically delivere within 1-3 working days if your order is placed before 1pm GMT. This exlcuses weekends. European and oversea shipments are usually delivered within 3-7 working days, depending on location.

Please note: Tracked 24 is NOT a next day delivery service, therefore be expected for them to arrive between 1-3 working days, this is all depending on Royal Mail and nothing we can do about it. If you would want your parcel to arrive the next working day, please use Special Delivery option.

All orders are automatically insured against loss or damage for FREE. In the unlikely event that your shipment is damaged or lost, we will replace the product (if available) or issue a credit refund to your account, for the value of the goods only.

Please note, we do not offer refund on postage costs as this is something we have already paid for with Royal Mail. But we will claim this back from Royal Mail and will issue the refund at later date, after Royal Mail has completed their admin works.

We do NOT offer any returns on live stocks for any reasons apart from being our fault. This is due to the shrimp's wealthfare .

For any other returns, you will need to return the items before we can issue the refund.

Please note: we do NOT offer any prepaid returns label nor refunding on postage costs. As this has been paid to Royal Mail.

First thing first, please have a quick visual check for any damages to the parcels.

Upon opening your shrimp box, please DO NOT float the bag as we use breather bag. By floating the bag inside your aquarium will suffocate the shrimp and cause mass death. Instead please follow our guidance on how to acclimate your shrimp. This information can be found on the leaflet that came with your parcel.

Yes we do. Any claims need to be made & reported within 2 hours of receiving your parcel (time stamped on courier's tracking details).

Terms & Conditions apply. Please make sure you have read our Live On Arrival Guarantee policy, also our leaflet that come in every single parcel. Failing to comply with our Terms will result in your claim being refused. We can only offer CREDIT REFUND for any deaths on arrival. No postage refunds as we have already paid this to Royal Mail.

All credit refund will be made in the same date , after 5pm and ready to be used again at anytime. 

You will find our instructions in the leaflet that come with your parcel. Please make sure you read it first. In this leaflet we also have guidances on how to feed your shrimp as well.

It is recommended to prepare an airline in advance, for drip acclimating methods. Or alternatively, you can buy one of our drip acclimate kit.

Yes, at the checkout fill out the recipient's details in the shipping address box. When you select a payment method you will see a tick box that reads "Use this address as my billing address". Simply u-tick this box to enter your billing address and complete the purchase.
